BLACK OFFICERS ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF GEORGE FLOYDS MURDER.

One year ago,  following the murder of George Floyd, West Midlands police pledged to hire an additional 1,000 black and ethnic minority officers. A year later, Sky News' Shamaan Freeman-Powell spent the day with 2 black officers, to find out how the pledge was going.

THE 'PHIL COLLINS EFFECT'

The "Phil Collins Effect" has been identified by academics after a return to popularity for the former Genesis drummer and frontman.
The highly-influential musician, who appears to attract equal levels of admiration and derision, became one of the best-selling artists of all time during a hugely successful solo career in the eighties.

But as the UK entered the Britpop era in the 1990s, the balding singer-songwriter came to represent the epitome of uncool.

Now academics say he is making a comeback, Sky's Shamaan went to find out more.

Chelsea FC became champions of Europe, beating Man City 1-0 and gaining the Champions League trophy. Shamaan went to Stamford Bridge to get fans' reactions.

BABY WHALE STRANDED IN RIVER THAMES

A baby whale stranded in the River Thames in London has been euthanised after spending two days in the unfamiliar territory.
The minke whale became trapped against a river bank near Richmond on Sunday after travelling 150 kilometres from the river mouth. Rescuers were unsuccessful in pushing the whale up and out of the river.
