Shamaan is a journalist currently working as a general news correspondent for Sky News.

She is originally from Nottingham, but spent time living in Sheffield working as a local reporter before moving to London. 

Previously, she worked as an assistant producer for BBC Panorama, a reporter and producer for the BBC News channel and the Victoria Derbyshire programme, as well as writing for the front page of the BBC website.
